Chinese APT Group Is Ransacking Japan’s Secrets

A Chinese APT group, MirrorFace, has been stealing information from Japanese organizations since 2019. The group uses phishing campaigns and exploits vulnerabilities in network devices to gain access to sensitive data. MirrorFace’s activities are believed to be part of a larger effort by the People’s Liberation Army to gain leverage over Japan in the event of hostilities.
