Microsoft’s latest on-prem Azure is for apps clouds dislike • The Register

Microsoft’s Azure Local is an on-premises offering designed for workloads unsuitable for the cloud, providing unified management through Azure Arc. While Azure Local can access Azure services and enable disaster recovery, it is not designed for cloud bursting or resource pooling, focusing instead on edge computing and industrial applications. Microsoft plans to upgrade Azure Local every two to three months with features like disaggregated storage.
