IT Services Vendor Hack Affects 293,000 AHN Patients

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is notifying 293,000 patients of a data breach involving their IT services vendor, IntraSystems. The breach, which occurred in October 2024, exposed sensitive patient information, including names, dates of birth, addresses, and medical records. At least seven proposed class-action lawsuits have been filed against AHN and IntraSystems, alleging negligence in securing patient data.
