Meta Confirms Zero-Click WhatsApp Spyware Attack Targeting 90 Journalists, Activists

Meta-owned WhatsApp disrupted a spyware campaign targeting journalists and activists using Paragon Solutions’ Graphite software. The zero-click attack involved distributing a PDF file through WhatsApp group chats, potentially compromising around 90 individuals. This marks the first time Paragon Solutions has been linked to misuse of its technology, following previous reports of its use by the DEA and calls for transparency.
