OpenAI to launch GPT-5 in a matter of months, GPT-4.5 within weeks - SiliconANGLE

OpenAI plans to release GPT-4.5 within weeks, a less capable LLM with lower inference costs, followed by GPT-5 in a few months. GPT-5 will incorporate the reasoning capabilities of OpenAI’s o3 model, which will no longer be offered as a standalone product. The free version of ChatGPT will soon include two Deep Research queries per month, while ChatGPT Plus subscribers will receive ten.
