Microsoft disrupted a global cybercrime ring abusing Azure OpenAI Service

Microsoft exposed a global cybercrime ring, Storm-2139, that abused Azure OpenAI Service to create harmful content. The ring, composed of creators, providers, and users, used exposed credentials to bypass safeguards and generate illicit content, including non-consensual intimate images. Microsoft is taking legal action against the ring, disrupting their operations and curbing misuse of AI technology.
