Communications Security Establishment Canada releases 2025 update to report on cyber threats to Canada’s democratic process   - Canada.ca

The Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) has released an updated report on cyber threats to Canada’s democratic process, highlighting the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) by foreign adversaries. The report outlines key findings, including the use of AI to create and spread disinformation, enhance cyber espionage, and target political figures. Despite these threats, CSE assesses it is very unlikely that AI-enabled activities will fundamentally undermine the integrity of Canada’s next general election.
