Global Crackdown Slashes Cobalt Strike Availability By 80%

A global effort led by Fortra, Microsoft, and the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center has reduced access to weaponized versions of Cobalt Strike by 80%. The initiative, which included sinkholing malicious domains and takedown efforts, also shortened the average “dwell time” for malicious activity. Future efforts will focus on refining automation processes and proactively tracking malicious activity.
