Former US Govt Employees Targeted by Chinese Intelligence

Chinese intelligence is targeting recently laid-off U.S. government officials through a network of front companies offering consulting work. The Foundation for Defense of Democracies uncovered a network of five companies linked to a single IP address owned by Chinese firm Tencent. The think tank recommends the U.S. government monitor foreign intelligence recruitment campaigns and tighten controls on job posting sites.
