Red Hat has officially released Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, introducing major enhancements across AI, security, and containerization. The standout feature is Lightspeed, an AI assistant embedded in the command line to provide real-time support. Security updates include early support for post-quantum cryptography, a new sudo system role, and OpenSSH 9.9. Containers take centre stage with a new image-based architecture and streamlined tooling. Other upgrades include improved installer defaults, updated developer tools and packages, expanded system roles, and a revamped web console. RHEL 10 is now available via the Red Hat Customer Portal and the Red Hat Developer Program.
