UBS Hit by Darknet Data Leak Affecting 130,000 Staff

A data breach at procurement service provider Chain IQ, a former UBS spinoff, resulted in the leak of information on approximately 130,000 UBS employees, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers. The breach also exposed Chain IQ’s client list, including contracts with UBS, Pictet, and other prominent companies. The leaked data, available on the darknet, has been purchased multiple times and may be used for criminal purposes.
