US Announces $100 Million for State, Local and Tribal Cybersecurity - SecurityWeek
CISA and FEMA announced over $100 million in cybersecurity grant funding for state, local, and tribal governments, consisting of $91.7 million through the Fiscal Year 2025 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) and $12.1 million through the Tribal Cybersecurity Grant Program (TCGP). The funding can be used for cybersecurity improvements including new hires, service enhancements, planning, and exercises to strengthen network security and reduce cyber risks. These grants, established through the State and Local Cybersecurity Improvement Act of 2021 which appropriated $1 billion over four years, follow previous distributions of over $400 million in FY 2023 and over $300 million in FY 2024 for state and local governments, plus $18.2 million previously for tribal governments.
