Google and Cisco Report CRM Software Breaches via Vishing

Google and Cisco recently suffered data breaches after attackers socially engineered their employees through voice phishing, or vishing. The breaches involved access to customer data stored in their cloud-based customer relationship management software. The attacks are part of an ongoing wave attributed to individuals with ties to the ShinyHunters extortion group, which often attempts to extort victims after data theft.
