SIM-Swapper, Scattered Spider Hacker Gets 10 Years – Krebs on Security

Noah Michael Urban, a 20-year-old Florida man, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his involvement in the Scattered Spider cybercrime group. He pleaded guilty to wire fraud and conspiracy charges, admitting to participating in SIM-swapping attacks that stole at least $800,000 from five victims. Urban, known online as “King Bob” and “Sosa,” was also linked to the Star Fraud SIM-swapping group and was ordered to pay $13 million in restitution.
