Canada cyberattack: Emails, phone numbers hacked, feds say

A cyberattack on a multi-factor authentication application exposed email addresses and phone numbers linked to CRA, ESDC, and CBSA accounts. The breach, discovered on August 17, was caused by a software vulnerability and resulted in spam text messages being sent to some phone numbers.
