OpenAI Restructures, Nonprofit Foundation Retains Control

OpenAI has restructured, with its nonprofit Foundation retaining control and oversight of the for-profit group to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. This restructuring, reinforced by agreements with California and Delaware attorneys general, includes a majority of independent directors on the board and a Safety and Security Committee with veto power over model releases.
