Massive surge of NFC relay malware steals Europeans’ credit cards

A massive surge of NFC relay malware has been observed, with over 760 malicious Android apps discovered in Eastern Europe that steal credit card information by abusing Android’s Host Card Emulation. These apps impersonate legitimate financial institutions and Google Pay, and users are advised to only install apps from trusted sources and disable NFC when not in use.
