Cheap Device Bypasses AMD, Intel Memory Encryption

Researchers have developed a cheap hardware module called “Battering RAM” that can bypass AMD and Intel memory encryption and confidential computing protections. This module, costing less than $50, exploits weaknesses in scalable memory encryption that arose from performance trade-offs made by chip manufacturers.
