WormGPT 4, marketed as “your key to an AI without boundaries,” represents the latest evolution of criminally focused large language models. The original WormGPT appeared in 2023 before quickly disappearing and being replaced by similar illicit tools.
According to Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42, WormGPT 4 began selling around Sept. 27 on Telegram and underground forums such as DarknetArmy. Pricing starts at $50 per month, with lifetime access costing $220 and including full source code. Its Telegram channel currently has 571 subscribers. As Unit 42 notes in its Tuesday blog post, the model now performs far more than phishing message generation or basic code creation.
While WormGPT lowers the barrier for cybercriminals, a separate tool — KawaiiGPT — drops it even further. Identified by researchers in July 2025, it is free, openly available on GitHub, and marketed as “your sadistic cyber pentesting waifu,” blending playful branding with offensive cyber capabilities.
Unit 42 reports that KawaiiGPT-generated scripts automate essential elements of intrusion. The output may not introduce novel techniques, but it streamlines critical breach steps by authenticating as a legitimate user, opening a remote shell on the target, establishing SSH sessions, and enabling privilege escalation, reconnaissance, backdoor installation, and data collection.
