Finns Fear Data Breaches — Scam Calls Do Not Concern Young People www.tivi.fi/uutiset/a…
Fifty-six per cent of Finns consider data breaches to be a significant cybersecurity risk, according to a survey commissioned by Telia. The survey examined cybersecurity concerns among the Finnish population.
The results show that Finns’ primary cybersecurity concerns relate to data breaches, information overload, and scam messages and phone calls. Thirty-nine per cent of respondents are worried about risks associated with information overload and a lack of source criticism, which may reflect the growing volume of misinformation.
In a company statement, Telia’s head of security, Irina Kitinprami, said Finns are increasingly concerned about the spread of incorrect information.
“False information can spread both intentionally and unintentionally. Many people feel overwhelmed by the volume of information and experience it as a cybersecurity risk,” Kitinprami said.
