US broadband provider Brightspeed investigates breach claims

US broadband provider Brightspeed is investigating claims by the Crimson Collective extortion gang that they have stolen sensitive information, including personally identifiable information (PII) and payment details, belonging to over 1 million customers. The Crimson Collective has a history of targeting other major companies, including Red Hat and AWS.
