The personal data of approximately 14,000 journalists, including their National ID numbers and mobile phone numbers, was exposed online due to a technical failure at the Bangladesh Election Commission’s website. The breach occurred on the EC’s portal for modernizing the accreditation process, and access was disabled shortly after the vulnerability was discovered.
