Keeping the Internet fast and secure: introducing Merkle Tree Certificates

Cloudflare is introducing Merkle Tree Certificates (MTCs) to address the performance impact of Post-Quantum (PQ) cryptography on internet security. MTCs aim to reduce the number of signatures and public keys in TLS handshakes, making PQ certificates efficient enough for widespread adoption today, and are being experimentally deployed in collaboration with Chrome Security.
