AI cyberattacks costing Canadian businesses profits: KPMG

A KPMG Canada survey indicates that AI-powered cyberattacks, including phishing emails, deepfakes, and voice impersonations, are causing profit losses for Canadian businesses. Over 80 percent of companies that experienced profit loss in 2025 attributed it to these AI fraud attacks, with most reporting losses between one and five percent of their profits.
