Tens of thousands of users downloading the leaked Claude Code source code were exposed to malware, including Vidar and GhostSocks, which steal credentials and proxy network traffic. Malicious GitHub repositories disguised as the legitimate Claude Code source have been used as a lure by attackers to distribute these threats.
