The hacktivist responsible for the BlueLeaks 2.0 breach of P3 Global Intel, known as Internet Yiff Machine (IYM), has decided not to sell the dataset of 8.3 million tips. Initially listed for sale due to financial difficulties, IYM has taken the dataset off the market after an acquaintance informed them of ethical concerns and provided an alternative funding source. While the data will be retained for now, IYM plans to eventually delete it, citing a combination of reporting on the data and the potential impact on a mutual associate’s court case as reasons for their change of mind.
