GitHub is changing its Copilot pricing model from premium request units (PRUs) to GitHub AI Credits on June 1st, aiming to better align costs with usage as new features increase compute demands. While monthly subscription prices remain the same, usage-based billing means users with intense AI feature usage may see increased costs, but admins will have more control over budgets and can pool credits across organizations.
