Deutsche Bahn restored German rail services early Wednesday after a technical failure in its GSM-R railway communications network halted long-distance, regional and S-Bahn services nationwide for roughly two hours overnight. The company said the outage stemmed from a malfunction during the scheduled replacement of a technical component and has not indicated that the incident was cyber-related.
