US sanctions First VPN and administrator for supporting ransomware | CyberScoop

The U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned First VPN and its administrator, Dmytro Rashevskyi, for providing infrastructure to ransomware operators. These sanctions also extend to Yegeniy Vladimirovich Silayev, who allegedly supplied malicious cryptors to cybercriminals targeting U.S. entities.
