Canada’s financial regulator, the OSFI, has warned that Anthropic’s Claude Mythos AI model poses a significant cybersecurity threat by potentially exploiting vulnerabilities in aging financial infrastructure. While the tool excels at identifying software weaknesses, regulators fear it could be weaponized by criminals to compromise both traditional banking systems and DeFi protocols.
