China-Aligned TA419 Targets U.S. AI Policy Experts With Microsoft AitM Phishing

A newly attributed China-nexus espionage group, TA419, is running credential-phishing campaigns against AI experts at U.S. think tanks, universities, and law firms. The campaigns impersonate prominent economists, AI policymakers, and an Anthropic employee, using Microsoft adversary-in-the-middle phishing techniques to steal credentials.
