MI5 Says China’s MSS Funded Research Involving 100+ U.K.-Linked Academics

MI5 warned that more than 100 U.K.-linked academics have helped China boost its intelligence gathering through the China General Technology Research Institute, whose primary purpose MI5 says is funding research for Beijing’s state security service. The espionage alert was issued September 30.
