Denmark Says Attackers Accessed CPR Data for 8.8 Million People via Company Account
Denmark’s digitalization ministry said Oct. 5 that unauthorized parties accessed the names, addresses, and personal identification numbers of about 8.8 million people in the Central Person Register, covering the living and the dead. The attackers used a private Danish company’s lawful right to look up records, The Hacker News reports.
