Windows PCs missing key updates could lose security fixes in 2027

Microsoft is warning that Windows devices missing key updates could lose access to Windows Update, including security fixes, when the certificates used to verify update servers expire in May and June 2027. Microsoft is distributing the replacements through a certificate rotation process, and says staying current on updates is the key to receiving them.
