Microsoft takes down 3 major phishing platforms used by Chinese cybercriminals

Microsoft has taken legal action disrupting three phishing platforms — YAM Store, CoGUI and Iron Man — used by Chinese cybercriminals to send hundreds of millions of malicious messages impersonating over 75,000 organizations, The Record reports. Working with Japan’s National Police Agency and Health-ISAC, Microsoft obtained a US court order seizing the platforms' domains; the three enabled more than 750 million messages targeting Microsoft customers alone since January.
