‘123456’ password linked to Denmark data breach affecting 8.8M people

A data breach affecting 8.8 million people in Denmark has been linked to weakly protected accounts, including one using the password ‘123456’. Local media report that three accounts at a small IT company whose access to the national register was abused were weakly protected.
