Android adds AI-powered scam alerts, hangs up on bank impostors

Google’s new Android scam protections cover Google Messages and third-party messaging apps, with an enhanced protection mode and expanded scam alerts. Help Net Security reports the safeguards also address call-forwarding and screen-sharing scams, including bank impostor calls.
