Hackers breach Microsoft 365 tenants via ConnectWise supply-chain attack

ConnectWise has shut down customer access to its Cloud Backup service, formerly SkyKick Cloud Backup, after hackers abused application identities to compromise Microsoft 365 tenants, BleepingComputer reports. Huntress identified at least 162 compromised tenants, and Microsoft said it detected unauthorized authentication attempts from a single IP address on Oct. 15.
