Managing open-weight model risk in enterprise deployments

Microsoft and NVIDIA have published a joint paper on managing the risks of open-weight AI models in enterprise deployments, with a risk taxonomy grounded in ISO standards and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, according to the Microsoft Security Blog. The guidance groups risks into five categories (cybersecurity, data protection, content, human-AI interaction and bias) and says weight openness alone does not determine a system’s risk.
