NY AG James and CT AG Tong Secure $2.7 Million from Boston Children’s Health Physicians and XTIUM for 2024 Data Breach
New York Attorney General Letitia James and Connecticut Attorney General William Tong have secured $2.7 million from Boston Children’s Health Physicians and its IT provider XTIUM over an August 2024 breach in which hackers accessed 18 of XTIUM’s client networks and stole records on about 825,000 New York and 62,871 Connecticut residents from the pediatric network. The settlement also requires the companies to adopt stronger security policies, DataBreaches.net reports.
