British spy agency cannot account for thousands of data storage devices, watchdog says

Britain’s Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s Office says GCHQ cannot account for thousands of data storage devices, The Record reports. In its annual report for 2025, published Thursday, the watchdog said it was very concerned and disappointed with the time GCHQ has taken to investigate the issue.
