Ukraine says public air raid alert app sent false alerts after being hacked

Ukraine’s public air raid alert app was hacked on Sunday night and briefly showed Kyiv and other areas as subject to nuclear and chemical alerts and the threat of street combat, with one message claiming Russia’s Oreshnik missile had been deployed, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. Officials blamed Russia, said there was no radiation threat, and temporarily suspended the app while sirens and other alert channels kept working.
