FBI agent pleads guilty to stealing $2.4 million in crypto from nation-state hackers

Former FBI agent Patrick Steven Yaroch, 37, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering after admitting he used his position on an FBI investigative squad to steal more than $2.4 million in cryptocurrency seized from nation-state hackers, using the money to cover his debts. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
