Microsoft Teams Vishing Spreads DarkGate RAT
A new attack vector for the DarkGate remote access Trojan (RAT) involves vishing, where attackers use voice calls to trick victims into downloading malicious software. The attack, which started with phishing emails, ultimately led to the installation of DarkGate on the victim’s machine. To protect against such attacks, organizations should train employees on vishing signs, vet third-party support providers, and implement security measures like whitelisting and MFA.
