North Korean hackers have stolen a record amount of cryptocurrency in 2024, totaling $1.34 billion across 47 incidents. This surge in activity, which accounts for 61% of all stolen crypto this year, is attributed to the country’s dire financial situation and its need to fund its regime and weapons programs.
