A new Mirai botnet variant targets DigiEver DS-2105 Pro DVRs

Akamai researchers discovered a new Mirai botnet variant targeting DigiEver DS-2105 Pro DVRs and TP-Link devices. The variant, dubbed “Hail Cock Botnet,” exploits vulnerabilities in these devices to download Mirai-based malware and perform brute-force attacks. Akamai recommends upgrading vulnerable devices to newer models due to the lack of security patches for older devices.
