UN General Assembly Adopts Cybercrime Treaty

The UN General Assembly adopted the Convention against Cybercrime, a legally binding treaty aimed at preventing and combating cybercrime. The treaty, negotiated over five years, emphasizes international cooperation, evidence exchange, victim protection, and safeguarding human rights online. It will open for signature in 2025 and enter into force after 40 ratifications.
