Scientists Built a Proton Battery That Could Dethrone Lithium-Ion

Scientists at the University of New South Wales have developed a new anode material, tetraamino-benzoquinone (TABQ), for proton batteries. TABQ improves the voltage range and durability of proton batteries, making them a safer and more cost-effective alternative to lithium-ion batteries. While TABQ shows promise, further research is needed to improve cathode performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
