FCC Launches ‘Cyber Trust Mark’ for IoT Devices to Certify Security Compliance

The FCC launched the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark, a cybersecurity safety label for IoT consumer devices. The label, accompanied by a QR code, will provide information about a product’s security, including support period, automatic updates, and password change options. Eligible products include internet-connected home devices, smart appliances, and fitness trackers.
