EU Sanctions Three Russians For 2020 Cyber-Attack on Estonia - Infosecurity Magazine
The EU sanctioned three Russian nationals, Nikolay Korchagin, Vitaly Shevchenko, and Yuriy Denisov, for their involvement in a 2020 cyber espionage operation targeting Estonian government agencies. The three individuals, members of the Russian General Staff Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) 161st Specialist Training Center, are accused of stealing sensitive documents and breaching several Estonian ministries. Unit 29155, the group they belong to, has been linked to various destabilization activities across Europe, including cyber-attacks and assassinations.
